Panserah raid: NCCIA arrests WhatsApp fraud suspect Nov 2
Muhammad Sultan was detained in Panserah, Faisalabad, after investigators say he took over a citizen’s WhatsApp and extracted Rs1.3 million from the victim’s contacts.
NCCIA arrested Muhammad Sultan in Panserah, Faisalabad, on 2 November 2026.
He is accused of hacking a citizen’s WhatsApp and collecting Rs1.3 million from contacts.
Investigators say he posed as a courier agent, sent a fake link, and seized a verification code.
The victim filed a complaint at the Cyber Crime Reporting Centre in Islamabad under PECA.
NCCIA seized the phone used and said action against online fraud will continue.
