Job seekers told: skip advance fees in fake job scams

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency says fake overseas recruitment ads can steal fees, banking details and personal documents from job seekers.

NCCIA warns that fake job offers can lead to financial fraud, identity theft and stolen banking information.

Job seekers are told to verify employers, avoid unconfirmed advance fees and never share OTPs, passwords or bank details.

Citizens can report cybercrime incidents on the NCCIA helpline 1799.
