Nepra Provisionally Raises ICP Rate to Rs25.30 per Unit
Nepra's electricity tariff increase takes the extra-use rate for industrial and farm users from Rs22.98 to Rs25.30 per unit, and two members of the regulator dissented on the decision.
Nepra provisionally raised the ICP rate for extra electricity use from Rs22.98 to Rs25.30 per unit for industrial and agricultural consumers.
The new rate applies from November 2026 billing, not retrospectively from October 2026.
Two of the regulator's members dissented, saying the Power Division did not provide the cost data needed to justify the rate.
Nepra said Rs25.30 is not a final determination of actual marginal cost.
Power Division submissions are due by November 25 and December 3, 2026.
