Shehbaz Sharif told OGRA to introduce AI-based fuel supply monitoring with Alibaba Group after an Islamabad meeting on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister’s Office said OGRA is being given AI and business intelligence tools to examine supply-chain data.
No public technical blueprint or go-live date has been issued yet for the new tools.
Ministries must finish steps on Alibaba-linked projects by November and file a progress report.
In July 2026 OGRA told the PM several digital stock, tanker and pump systems were already running, and an enforcement drive that month led to notices and legal action.
