Pakistan registers 427,435 for overseas work in nine months
Bureau of Emigration figures put overseas jobs Pakistan registrations at 427,435 through September 2026, below 2025’s full-year total of 763,526 as Gulf demand softens.
Pakistan registered 427,435 workers for overseas employment in the first nine months of 2026, the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE) said.
Full-year registrations were 763,526 in 2025 and peaked at 862,625 in 2023; the 2026 pace points to further stabilisation after post-pandemic highs.
Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates still draw most Pakistani workers; Oman and Qatar registrations have fallen sharply.
Interest in European and other non-traditional destinations has grown in recent months.
Annualised 2026 outflows look set to stay broadly in line with levels seen over the past decade.
