Ministry opens online Hajj seat transfer to relatives

Selected pilgrims who cannot travel because of an emergency can now name a close relative online; dues already paid will be used for the substitute.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has added a substitute nomination feature to the Pak Hajj App and Hajj Digital Portal.

Successful applicants who face an unforeseen situation can request a close relative to take their place online.

If an applicant dies, a close relative may apply through the same system to be considered as the substitute.

The nominated person must already be registered on the Hajj Digital Portal and upload supporting documents.

Hajj dues paid by the original applicant will be applied to the substitute’s account.
