Pakistan Blue Passport Update: Immigration Chief Cites 49,000
The Pakistan Blue Passport Update comes as immigration chief Muhammad Ali Randhawa put the official count at 49,000, down from 74,000, and a NADRA-based issuance plan was discussed.
Official (blue) passports have been reduced from 74,000 to 49,000, according to Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
Randhawa tied the cut to international commitments and everyday administrative needs.
Senate Deputy Chairman Syedaal Khan Nasar urged faster, more digital passport services with fewer delays.
A proposal to issue passports through NADRA was discussed, but no start date has been announced.
