Munir reaffirms Pakistan defence ties with Brazil at GHQ

Admiral Renato Rodrigues De Aguiar Freire called on Field Marshal Asim Munir at GHQ Rawalpindi, and both sides agreed to deepen military cooperation.

ISPR said on Monday that Admiral Renato Rodrigues De Aguiar Freire led a Brazilian delegation to GHQ in Rawalpindi.

He called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces.

Both sides agreed to strengthen military ties and defence cooperation, the military’s media wing said.

They discussed mutual interests, the regional security environment, and closer defence and security links.

Admiral Freire praised Pakistan’s armed forces; the statement lists no new deal or date for a next meeting.
