Farm goods green channel agreed at Sost-Khunjerab pass

Customs teams completed an online signing at the FBR so qualifying farm consignments can clear the northern frontier with priority handling.

Pakistan and China agreed to put a green channel into use at the Sost-Khunjerab crossing for farm and related goods.

Customs officials from both sides signed online on Thursday at the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Syed Shakeel Shah led Pakistan Customs; Li Qinghua led the Chinese customs team from Urumqi and Tashkurgan.

Both sides plan closer data sharing and risk alerts on cross-border shipments.
