Islamic FMs including Pakistan reject Colombia Jerusalem embassy
A Foreign Office joint statement on Friday said Colombia’s embassy inauguration in Jerusalem has no legal effect and urged Bogotá to reverse the step.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office issued a joint statement with other Islamic states’ foreign ministers condemning Colombia’s embassy inauguration in Jerusalem.
The ministers said the step breaks UN Security Council resolutions and weakens efforts toward a two-state solution.
They called any bid to change occupied Jerusalem’s status or treat it as Israel’s capital null, void, and without legal effect.
They urged Colombia to reverse the decision and reaffirmed support for a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
