Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has asked federal officials to tour all four provinces and produce a national plan within a week, after a fresh case in Khyber.

Pakistan's 2026 polio tally reached nine after a fresh case in Khyber district on Thursday.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has seven of the nine cases and Sindh has two.

The Prime Minister ordered a national plan within one week, drawn up after provincial consultations.
