Pakistan takes SCO Interbank Consortium chair for 2026-27

HBL chairman Sultan Ali Allana assumes the consortium chair as Pakistan also chairs the SCO Heads of State Council for the same period.

Pakistan has assumed the chairmanship of the SCO Interbank Consortium (SCO-IBC) for 2026-27.

HBL Chairman Sultan Ali Allana has taken over as chairman of the consortium.

The step coincides with Pakistan’s chairmanship of the SCO Council of Heads of State for the same period.

The Finance Ministry congratulated Allana and restated Pakistan’s push for regional trade and investment links.

HBL joined SCO-IBC as a partner bank in 2014, became a member bank in 2018, and was nominated chair in Bishkek on 2 July 2026.
