Top 1% Earners in Pakistan Average Near Rs1.18m Monthly
WID's 2024 estimates, restated in 2025 rates, also place the top tenth near Rs121,000 a month and show the typical adult at about Rs70,600 — far below the elite cut-off.
An adult needs roughly Rs440,000 a month (about Rs5.28 million a year) to enter the top percentile of earners.
The top tenth begins near Rs121,000 a month; the top twentieth near Rs189,000; the top 0.1% near Rs1.93 million.
Mean pay inside the top percentile is about Rs1.18 million a month, versus roughly Rs70,600 for the average adult.
The top tenth take 42.8% of national income and hold 58.5% of personal wealth; the top percentile alone take 16.7% of income and 24% of wealth.
WID measures pre-tax national income per adult and splits couple income evenly, so the cut-offs are not pure salary lines.
