Pakistan finished third at the IHF Women’s Nations Trophy Asia Zone III in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (13–17 October).
Hosts Uzbekistan took gold; Turkmenistan silver; Kyrgyzstan fourth; Tajikistan fifth.
Pakistan lost to Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, then beat Tajikistan 36–14 and Kyrgyzstan 33–23.
The side returned to international competition after seven years; PHF president Mohammad Shafiq called the result encouraging despite short training and limited facilities.
