Rizwan and Imam cleared to play President's Trophy round 6

The Pakistan Cricket Board has cleared both players for Grade-I domestic cricket while an NCCIA probe into alleged betting continues, with no public board statement issued.

The PCB has allowed Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq to play for SNGPL and OGDCL in the sixth round of the President's Trophy, starting Monday.

Both players remain under an NCCIA investigation over alleged betting and gambling after Pakistan’s England Test series earlier this year.

Rizwan was earlier barred from the eight-team tournament; SNGPL coach Mohammad Hafeez said he can lead if available.

Imam’s return was confirmed by OGDCL after PCB directions; Rizwan was only cleared for domestic cricket, not the Nepal League.

Rizwan was questioned for more than three hours by the NCCIA in Lahore on Oct 2; the agency has not issued a public statement.
