Janakpur sends Iftikhar, Hunain home after PCB block
Janakpur Bolts CEO Niroj Khatiwada said Iftikhar Ahmed and Hunain Shah are heading home after the PCB stopped them playing the Nepal Premier League, with replacements already signed.
The PCB has told Pakistani players not to take part in the Nepal Premier League, according to Janakpur Bolts CEO Niroj Khatiwada.
Iftikhar Ahmed and Hunain Shah are returning home; Janakpur has signed replacements whose names were due by Wednesday night.
Agents told the franchise that $25,000 would have to be paid to the board for clearance; Janakpur says it has had no direct talks with the PCB.
Khatiwada said paying that sum late, after contracts and flights to Nepal, was not financially viable for the franchise.
