Two PHC judges refer Sohail Afridi detention to larger bench

A two-judge Peshawar High Court bench sent petitions over the October detentions of the KP CM and PTI figures to the chief justice after the governor’s side sought more time on a court-ordered report.

The Peshawar High Court referred petitions against the detention of Sohail Afridi and other PTI figures to the chief justice for a larger bench.

Authorities were ordered to file a detention report by October 30; the governor’s advocate general sought three more days.

PTI said the governor’s administration missed the deadline and accused both the administration and the court of delay.
