PIA raises London flights to seven with wet-lease Dreamliner
The eight-year-old Boeing 787, wet-leased from Norse Atlantic with 358 seats, is due in Islamabad at 5am Sunday for a water cannon welcome as PIA expands UK services.
PIA’s first Boeing 787 Dreamliner left London Heathrow for Pakistan on flight PK-786 under a wet lease from Norse Atlantic Airways.
The jet, about eight years old with 358 seats, is due in Islamabad at 5:00am Sunday and will get a water cannon salute.
Norse Atlantic will supply the crew and handle maintenance and insurance under the wet lease.
PIA plans to raise weekly London flights from four to seven and use the aircraft on UK routes from Islamabad and Lahore.
Officials say this is the first time PIA has flown a Boeing 787 Dreamliner in commercial service.
