PIAF warns RLNG hike of up to 15.27% hits industry costs
The industry body says OGRA’s latest RLNG notification undoes September’s 20% cut and will push up manufacturing costs for firms on SNGPL and SSGCL networks.
PIAF criticised October 2026 RLNG price increases of 13.89% to 15.27% for SNGPL and SSGCL networks.
The revision reverses a 20% RLNG reduction allowed in September, PIAF said.
SNGPL distribution RLNG rose 14.01% to $17.3259 per MMBtu; SSGCL rose 15.27% to $16.3959.
Average delivered ex-ship LNG climbed to $10.75 per MMBtu in October from $10.06 in September.
Chairman Faheemur Rehman Saigol said higher gas costs would feed into consumer prices and inflation.
