Shehbaz urges PML-N to prioritise quick KP welfare steps

Addressing a PML-N KP meeting on Saturday, he defended the October 11 governor's rule, criticised PTI's 13-year record, and said talks with the opposition had failed.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif told a PML-N KP meeting on Saturday to suspend long-term projects and focus on short-term relief.

He said people of the province had suffered for 13 years under PTI rule and questioned schools, medicines, funds and anti-corruption work.

He said federal talks with PTI lasted 48 hours but a draft never got approval, so the Centre acted to protect people and the economy.

He cited terrorism losses, about 8,000 police vacancies, an NFC-linked Rs800 billion share for KP, and a Rs75 billion fuel subsidy for about 130 million citizens.
