PPRA refers IBTS CLIA kits tender to Punjab inquiry

PPRA on 26 October 2026 referred the IBTS CLIA kits and analyzer tender for ten Punjab blood units to a health-department inquiry after Roche Pakistan challenged how bids were scored.

PPRA on 26 October 2026 referred the IBTS CLIA kits and analyzer procurement to Punjab’s Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department for an independent inquiry.

The tender covers CLIA kits and brand-new fully automated analyzers on a reagent-rental basis for ten blood transfusion units in FY 2026–27.

PPRA said bidding language was too subjective and advised a committee of department officials and technical experts to verify the machinery.
