PTI directs members not to discuss KP CM replacement
Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan’s party notification backs Afridi after governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and a long internal meeting that questioned his role.
PTI’s central secretariat notified that Sohail Afridi remains Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister with Imran Khan’s support.
Party members were told not to meet, propose or discuss any alternative for the CM office.
Afridi has not been seen since governor’s rule and emergency in KP on 11 October; a federal minister said the next day he and some cabinet colleagues were in preventive custody.
A Tuesday joint parliamentary party meeting lasting over seven hours saw sharp criticism of Afridi’s influence and of party leaders Barrister Gohar and Salman Akram Raja.
