Punjab bans outdoor drone flights province-wide, 30 days
Small drones may still fly inside halls and marquees, and district committees can clear farm, irrigation and research flights in writing; security agencies stay exempt.
Punjab has banned outdoor drone flights across the province for 30 days, citing security concerns.
The order was issued by the Punjab home secretary under Section 144(6) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898.
Small drones may still be used for event coverage inside halls and marquees, with organisers responsible for safety.
Intelligence and law enforcement agencies are exempt; district Safe Drone Usage Committees can permit agriculture, irrigation and research flights in writing.
District administrations and police have been told to enforce the order strictly.
