Punjab digital curriculum: 25% lighter books from April

From ECCE to Grade V, Punjab plans QR-linked video lessons and a 25 per cent cut in textbook volume for the next academic session starting in April.

Punjab is revising the curriculum from Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) to Grade V, with rollout for the April academic session.

The draft has been sent to Cambridge International Education for comparison with international standards.

Educationists warn relief depends on schools also limiting supplementary books, homework and exam load.
