Punjab CM bans permanent escorts without authorisation
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has ordered Punjab Police to withdraw unauthorised escorts for officials and others under Punjab government orders issued on October 22, and to stop illegal vehicle flags.

October 22 instructions bar permanent escorts for cabinet members, advisers, MPAs and others without valid authorisation.
Flagstaffs and official flags on vehicles are banned for anyone not legally entitled to display them.
Principal Secretary Sajid Zafar Dall told the PPO and IGP to enforce the order and recover misused escorts.
Copies went to the chief secretary, home secretary and other senior officers for follow-up.
