Houthi ballistic missiles towards Riyadh destroyed Thursday
The Saudi-led coalition said air defenses destroyed two ballistic missiles aimed at the capital as civil defence warned residents in Riyadh, Al-Kharj and Najran of potential danger.
Saudi air defenses intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles launched towards Riyadh by Yemen’s Houthi movement, the Saudi-led coalition said.
Authorities warned that Riyadh was under a “hostile aerial threat” and issued “potential danger” alerts in Riyadh, Al-Kharj and Najran.
Reports say at least eight explosions were heard in the capital; Saudi authorities have not confirmed their cause.
A missile aimed at Taif was intercepted on Wednesday, and another ballistic missile towards the Eastern Province was intercepted on Thursday.
