Sanaullah presses Achakzai-Sharif meeting to restart talks
The premier’s political adviser says phone and chamber chats with unnamed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf figures continue, while formal dialogue still waits on clearer signals from the party.
Adviser Rana Sanaullah says the government still has informal, unpublicised contact with some PTI figures.
He refuses to name them, arguing publicity could hurt their standing inside the party.
He blames internal PTI splits, and past pressure on pro-talk voices, for blocking a shift to open negotiations.
He wants Leader of the Opposition Mahmood Khan Achakzai to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif first.
He says PTI has not told the government it will change course, and should rejoin parliamentary committees.
