Saudi envoy assures Pakistan of 24-hour worker visa issuance

Saudi work visa for Pakistani workers now carries a 24-hour assurance from Riyadh, given by its ambassador to a federal minister in Islamabad.

Saudi Ambassador Dr. Raji bin Tami Al-Baqami assured Pakistan that visas for Pakistani workers will be issued in 24 hours or less.

The assurance was given to Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain during a meeting in Islamabad.

Both sides agreed to set up a joint panel to handle worker issues quickly.

The minister asked Saudi Arabia to expand job openings for skilled Pakistanis.

No start date or written procedure for the 24-hour timeline has been confirmed yet.
