Bannu imposes Section 144 for Nov 2-5 polio campaign

Deputy Commissioner Zia-ur-Rehman banned weapons display, motorcycle pillion riding and tinted windows across the district from November 1 to 7.

Section 144 is in force across Bannu from November 1 to 7 during the anti-polio campaign.

Weapons display, motorcycle pillion riding and tinted vehicle windows are banned; violators face action under Section 188 of the PPC.

The drive runs November 2–5 and aims to vaccinate 228,000 children under five in 57 union councils.

1,412 polio teams, 321 area in-charges and 57 union council medical officers have been deployed.

Patwaris and union council secretaries on official polio duty are exempt from the weapons ban.
