Karachi bans gatherings above five people until Oct 20
Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi banned gatherings of more than five people from 11 October to 20 October. Peshawar, Hyderabad Division, Kohat and Hangu have separate Section 144 orders.
Peshawar's deputy commissioner imposed Section 144 for seven days from 12 October 2026, barring gatherings of five or more, protests, public weapon displays and items such as petrol bombs.
Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi banned gatherings of more than five people in Karachi Division from 11 October to 20 October.
Hyderabad Commissioner Fayyaz Abbasi imposed a 15-day ban across all nine districts of the division.
Kohat and Hangu barred gatherings of five or more people for 30 days with immediate effect.
Violators can face legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
