SFU Arctic SAR project opens three funded PhD research posts
Simon Fraser University scholarship Canada funding at SARlab starts at CAD 28,000 for Master's and CAD 32,000 for PhDs, with two to four years guaranteed.
SARlab at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia is recruiting funded Master's and PhD researchers.
Starting stipends are CAD 28,000 a year for Master's students and CAD 32,000 for PhD students, guaranteed for two and four years respectively.
Students may also receive CAD 15,000 or more a year via graduate fellowships or teaching assistantships, which the lab says can cover tuition.
Three PhD posts sit under an NSERC Alliance project with MDA on Arctic community-centric SAR mapping; Master's candidates may be considered for related work.
Applicants need a relevant science or engineering background, strong English, and programming skills such as Python or C++.
