Murad Ali Shah invites Huawei to Karachi Education City labs
Syed Murad Ali Shah made the invitation in Shanghai, proposing Huawei technology labs in Karachi and cloud work for Sindh; no reply from the company has been reported.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah invited Huawei to set up research and development facilities and technology labs in Sindh, particularly at Karachi Education City.
The invitation was made during his visit to Shanghai, where he was briefed at Huawei's research and development centre.
Proposed cooperation covers cloud infrastructure, data centres, cybersecurity and computing for artificial intelligence (AI).
He also proposed a sister-city partnership between Karachi and Shanghai, which the Shanghai mayor welcomed.
The proposal is an invitation only. No reply from Huawei has been reported and no agreement has been announced.
