Sindh High Court orders censor board to review Ghost School
Any cut the censor board keeps must come with written reasons, and a higher rating needs a personal hearing for the filmmakers, the court said in its order.
The Sindh High Court set aside most of the film censorship board's excisions to Ghost School.
The board must reconsider certification within 10 days of the filmmakers removing Item No. 7.
If no higher category is justified, the board must allow unrestricted public exhibition without further cuts.
The court said the board had not given cogent reasons, as it was directed to on August 21, 2026.
Ghost School is a fictional film about a girl whose village school closed over haunting rumours.
