Dawn: no official confirmation of where Sohail Afridi is
PTI says he was taken into custody on the protest march. Dawn says there is still no official confirmation, though sources described house arrest under MPO Section 3 for Afridi and Junaid Akbar.
Dawn says PTI claimed, within hours of the KP emergency, that Sohail Afridi had been taken into custody on the march toward Islamabad.
Aide Shafi Jan and MNA Shahid Khattak said he had been detained. Secretary general Salman Akram Raja later said the party did not know where he was.
Dawn says there is no official confirmation. Sources told the paper Afridi and Junaid Akbar were under house arrest under Section 3 of the MPO.
State Minister Tallal Chaudhry told Geo some people had been detained and did not say whether Afridi was among them.
