Zainul Abideen killed over phone video, cousin confesses

Police say Zainul Abideen's cousin Faisal and a friend dumped his body in a sack in Steel Town after a Rs700,000 ransom demand failed.

Main suspect Faisal told police he killed cousin Zainul Abideen over an inappropriate video of a girl on the victim's phone.

Police arrested Faisal and a friend; both allegedly planned the killing and led officers to the body in Steel Town.

Zainul Abideen, a tailor who had returned from Saudi Arabia, left home on a motorcycle on October 14 and did not return.

Kidnappers demanded Rs700,000; the family took the money to the named spot but found no one there.

Police earlier recovered a severed hand at a location linked to the kidnapping and sent it for DNA testing.
