Talal Chaudhry rejects KP deal talk after Fazl remarks

State interior minister Talal Chaudhry tells Maulana Fazlur Rehman that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's new arrangement was never a vehicle for bargain politics.

State Interior Minister Talal Chaudhry said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s provincial arrangement was not built to serve personal or factional ambitions.

He framed his reply as unexpected disappointment at Maulana Fazlur Rehman and challenged the JUI-F chief’s invocation of 1971 after the 2024 polls.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said a party head was “deeply upset” at missing the KP governorship or a place in the governor’s-rule structure.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, speaking in Peshawar, rejected Fazl’s law-and-order critique and disputed the case against governor’s rule.
