Taliban call Rubio Pakistan remarks one-sided at G20
Zabihullah Mujahid said Marco Rubio relied on Islamabad’s account and denied Afghan soil was used for attacks, while welcoming mediation between Kabul and Islamabad.
Zabihullah Mujahid labelled Marco Rubio’s remarks on Pakistan “one-sided” and said they rested on Islamabad’s information.
Rubio, speaking at the G20 sidelines, said Pakistan fears attacks from Afghan territory and that Kabul had not done enough to stop them.
Mujahid denied Afghan soil is used against other countries and said Pakistan started the recent clashes.
Kabul said it welcomes mediation; Washington said it is willing to play a productive role between the neighbours.
