Islamabad MoU adds 10 telemedicine centres nationwide

Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal said the Sehat Kahani deal builds on 10 centres already open in Islamabad and Karachi, with a flagship site planned at PIMS.

Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal announced 10 more telemedicine centres under an MoU with Sehat Kahani in Islamabad.

Ten centres already operate — six in Islamabad and four in Karachi — after the first phase of the initiative.

About Rs70 million in public savings were claimed, and 500 new doctors have joined the telemedicine network.

A state-of-the-art centre is planned at PIMS, with further expansion eyed for Gilgit-Baltistan and other underserved areas.
