An inquiry panel has begun work at Dano Dhandhal after an oxygen cylinder explosion at a rural health centre left multiple people dead and two midwives still awaiting questioning.
A Sindh health inquiry opened Friday into the Oct 28 oxygen cylinder blast and fire at the Rural Health Centre in Dano Dhandhal, Nagarparkar.
Local accounts say 10 people died; a departmental statement listed eight deaths, including three staff, plus four injuries.
PPHI Sindh moved to suspend three local officers; the health department said one suspension awaits further formal steps.
Two injured midwives who saw the blast remain in Karachi for specialist care and have not yet given statements to the panel.
