Trump Iran nuclear weapons: US does not need them, Trump says
Trump Iran nuclear weapons stance: Washington does not need them, he said in a Thursday interview, calling the “mother of all bombs” a conventional weapon.
Trump said the US would not use nuclear weapons against Iran because it does not need them.
He called the “mother of all bombs” a large conventional weapon, not a nuclear one.
He spoke in a Thursday interview after being asked about reports that the bomb could be used against Iran, potentially after the US midterm elections.
Asked whether he trusted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump said, “I don’t trust anybody, honestly.”
The sources do not say officials have confirmed the bomb plans or describe any official follow-up.
