Seven-nation foreign ministers meeting set for Istanbul
The Turkish foreign ministry said the first R-4+E-3 format meeting brings together Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and three European states, with Hormuz shipping on the agenda.
Turkiye will host R-4 and R-4+E-3 foreign ministers' meetings in Istanbul on October 23.
The R-4 group is Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye; the E-3 is France, Britain and Germany.
Talks are expected to cover the Strait of Hormuz, Yemen, the Israeli-Palestinian issue and the Russia-Ukraine war.
Pakistan's Foreign Office has not yet commented on the meetings or on Ishaq Dar's participation.
