UHS adds 1,100 evening nursing seats at 18 Punjab colleges
The University of Health Sciences also cleared five new PhD programmes as its Syndicate raised evening nursing capacity at public colleges across the province.
UHS Lahore approved 1,100 additional evening seats in nursing programmes across Punjab.
The seats will be added at 18 public-sector nursing colleges in the province.
The decision was taken at the university’s 96th Syndicate meeting, chaired by Vice Chancellor Maj Gen (R) Prof. Dr. Sohail Sabir.
Five new PhD programmes were also approved in Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Oral Biology and Medical Laboratory Sciences.
UHS did not say when the new seats will open or how many each college will get.
