Urea Price Falls From April Peak as China Resumes Supplies
For the urea price today in Pakistan, the global picture has turned: rates dropped from an April peak of $935-959 a tonne, while DAP, another fertiliser, stays near $910.
International urea has fallen to $450 per tonne from a peak of around $900, according to Arif Habib Ltd (AHL).
AHL attributes the drop to China resuming urea supplies, which Engro Fertilisers also reported at its analyst briefing.
Global urea peaked near $935-959 per tonne in April, after Middle East conflict and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz in late February.
DAP, another fertiliser, remains at $910 per tonne because of higher sulphur and ammonia costs.
AHL expects Pakistan's total urea market to reach 6.5 million tonnes in CY26 (calendar year 2026).
