US bars Cloudera from green card sponsorship for two years
The Justice Department and Labour Department announced the deal, which includes a $1.4m compensation fund for US workers and $600,000 in civil penalties.
The US has barred Cloudera Inc. from the PERM programme for two years, which blocks its green card sponsorship of foreign workers.
The $2 million settlement includes a $1.4m fund for US workers who were not fairly considered and $600,000 in civil penalties.
The case concerns recruitment for seven positions, with allegations that applicants could not reach the company by email.
The ban does not impose a general green card bar on Indian or Pakistani nationals, and wider visa limits are unchanged.
