Centcom says US forces remain vigilant in Hormuz Strait

US Central Command (Centcom) rejected Iranian navy claims that American warships had abandoned the Strait of Hormuz.
Centcom said US forces in the Middle East remain present and vigilant in the strait and nearby waters.
The Centcom commander’s presence in the region over the weekend was cited as evidence of that posture.
Centcom said US forces and regional partners control the international waterway, not Iran.
