Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said VEON’s planned three-year investment in Pakistan has risen from $1 billion to $1.5 billion.
The extra $500 million, a 50 percent increase, was announced virtually at the SDGs Investment Fair 2026 in Karachi.
The plan covers connectivity, infrastructure modernisation and digital innovation through Jazz.
The $1.5 billion figure still depends on VEON’s investment programme and implementation.
Aurangzeb also cited Turkish interest in a distribution company, plus 11 IPOs in the previous fiscal year and five in the last quarter.
