A two-month programme in Islamabad will train 100 Pakistani workers for Chinese-invested projects.
Fifty trainees will study low-voltage electrical work and 50 will study riveting.
Kasb-i-Kamal Vocational Centre is running the course with CIIC and local partner KEK.
Training covers Chinese language and workplace safety; successful candidates get hiring priority, including at PowerChina.
Five Chinese state-owned firms are taking part, and CIIC said three of 25 welders trained last year joined PowerChina projects.
