Ahsan Iqbal CPC proposal outlines five party corridors

In Islamabad, the Ahsan Iqbal CPC proposal would link China's ruling party with Pakistani parties through five political corridors, youth exchanges and longer-horizon development planning.

Planning minister Ahsan Iqbal on Monday floated five political corridors between China's CPC and Pakistani parties.

He said the corridors would cover dialogue, governance learning, youth leadership, culture, and regional peace.

Youth and leadership exchanges could start with a first group in 2027 at China's Central Party School.

He cited CPEC's first phase as nearly $25 billion in investment, over 8,000 MW of power, 888 km of roads, and about 236,000 jobs.
