Jassy: AWS aims for $1T revenue with $220bn 2026 capex
Amazon CEO Andy Jassy linked Amazon AWS revenue growth projections to a large AI infrastructure build, with about $220 billion in 2026 cash capex, mostly for AWS.
CEO Andy Jassy said AWS could become a trillion-dollar annual revenue business within five to 10 years.
Amazon expects about $220 billion in 2026 cash capital expenditure (capex), mostly for AWS, and more spending in 2027.
AWS revenue rose 39% from a year earlier; Jassy forecast growth above 40% in both 2027 and 2028.
AWS’s annualised revenue run-rate is about $184 billion, he said on the earnings call.
Amazon shares fell about 6% in Thursday after-market trading as investors pressed on spending.
