Anmol Pinky acquitted by Karachi court citing lack of evidence

A Karachi sessions court cited lack of evidence in further narcotics matters and ordered her release from women’s jail if she is not wanted in any other case.

A Karachi court on Friday acquitted Anmol alias Pinky in further narcotics cases for lack of evidence.

One of the matters was a 2018 Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) narcotics case; accounts also link a Gizri police station case to the latest clearances.

The judge ordered police to release her from women’s jail if she is not wanted in any other case.

She has now been cleared in five of the 22 cases registered against her; in August she was acquitted in three Gizri cases.

She was produced before the additional district and sessions judge (South) via video link.
